Misanthrope, the first time I was ever exposed to this word, or it’s context, was when a chat fried of mine used it in reference to me. I asked her, as I often do, for a definition of this new word she had assigned to me, I was intrigued when she gave me essentially the definition you see above and it started me thinking about what it meant…..and what it meant and said about me. I laughed a little at first….a chuckled escaped and I “lol’d” the chat screen to her……it has widened my perspective infinitely, and many of my own questions about myself are answered as a result….though these answers invariable lead to more questions. *sign*

Oh well. So it turns out, that of any label ever laid upon me by another, this is the most accurate of them all! lol Yeah, I am a most sincere and genuine misanthrope, but through insight and understanding of the spirit of misanthropy, I am actually liberated and strengthened by it.

Most people misunderstand the definition of misanthropy, as you read it again above, notice it is a general state of being, a general belief, one that applies equally, and without condition to the species as a whole, an organism complete and applies specifically not to any as individuals, but in their collective silent consensus about reality.

I am most capable and occasionally willing to consider most individuals according to their own individual, personal values. However when they become part of a group, then I must adjust the consideration to take into account the group impact as well.

My misanthropic temperament is not focused at the individual level, but at the species level and how the individual, including myself, are a part of the bigger whole.

My aim is to better understand my fellow individual humans, my life is now devoted to studying the individuals I come into contact with and hoping in the process, they will also understand me.

My misanthropic perspective, is a result of my own powerful personal awakening begun nearly 6 years ago now.

Through this blog, I intend to invite you on a very personal journey as I detail many of the experiences I have been exposed to in my 41+ earth years of human existence. I hope it can provide some insight and in doing so, add positively to our collective knowledge as a species.
